Chickpea Powerbowl


  • 1 Pepper
  • 200g Chickpeas
  • 1 Onion
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 2tbsp Oil
  • 200g Brown Rice
  • 2tbsp Sesame Seed Oil
  • 4tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1tbsp Cumin
  • 1tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 🧂Salt & Pepper


  1. Cover the rice in water in a small pan and cook according to the package instructions.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic and add to a frying pan with the oil. Fry until they start to brown.
  3. Chop the pepper into small cubes and add to the pan along with the chickpeas (assuming they’re from a can; if not, pre-cook these.) Cook for 5 mins.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, drain and then add to the frying pan, along with the remainder of the ingredients. Mix well and cook for a further 5 minutes.
